IHS Research report shows that the global
PV inverter buyers, is the fastest growing storage needs. Although the
technology is still relatively immature, but IMS Research for the global PV
inverter four hundred customer survey showed that nearly a third of respondents
forecast that by 2015, over 40% of their installed solar systems Enabling
energy storage technology.
IHS Power and Energy Research Manager Sam
Wilkinson (Sam Wilkinson) said: "For photovoltaic systems, energy storage
is becoming more and more important, if the supplier can deliver products that
meet the industry expectations, photovoltaic energy storage market can
remarkable development over the next two years. "this survey also asked
customers about their use of micro-inverters, display relatively high price of
this technology to become a widespread disorder.
But the survey also revealed that in 2012
over 2011, compared enabled micro inverters proportion of customers has
increased ten percent. Respondents emphasized that they have the ability to
block against the impact of additional design flexibility as the use of micro
inverters most common reason.
Wilkinson said: "Because they offer
the advantages and characteristics of the micro-inverter is becoming more
widely accepted, but the price to make a major unfavorable factors,
micro-inverters are not currently purchase most of the respondents said for
them, the need to reduce the price of more than 50%, they only consider
enabling. "
