Specifically , Satcon PV inverter will provide technical expertise , A123 will provide "advanced " lithium -ion battery technology. Satcon said that the final system will be a 500kW PV array , 500kW of PowerGate Plus inverters and a 500kWh of A123 advanced lithium-ion battery energy storage system configuration .
It is expected that this energy storage system will be able to " take advantage of high-power, high-pressure Satcon battery power conditioning system (Satcon Spectrum PCS), so as to stabilize the voltage , frequency control , and in the case of grid instability ( including power outage ) the PV plant continuous operation .
